Using up some leftovers

Well readers it is that time of the week again....time for my Mad About Scrappin Monday project share.   This week I have dug out some of the scraps and off cuts from my previous projects to create this cute little card and gift bag...

The little gift bag is something that Leanne shared a Pinterest link with me https://www.pinterest.com/pin/273804852317423002/ to create these cute little bags.

Mini Bag using 8.5x11 paper

Well I searched the internet till I found the following tutorial over at Silvey's Craftroom.  Please be sure to follow the link to see the full tutorial on how to create this super quick gift bag.  How cute would these look for kids birthdays? Filled with lollies or little treats???

Here is mine all covered with some offcuts from the paper pad, some lace,  seambinding and paper flower.

My card was created using a Kraft card base that was included in my kit and one of the cut outs from the paper pad.  I have used some Tim Holtz "Victorian Velvet" distress ink and a water brush to softly colour in the birds chests.

I have used my crimper on the kraft strip and topped it with a small piece of hessian.  I pulled some threads from the hessian and added them under the flower.

Well readers this is all I have for you today.  I hope I have inspired you to create and please go check out the Mad About Scrappin store to see all the newest arrivals for this month.  Please be sure to check out the links below to see what my other creative team mates have been up to...

Creative Inspiration - Week 26 2015

Hello all.

I have been busy this week with a mix of scrapping, studies and looking after kids.
I have also had a chance to play around with a bit more of the MME - Wild Berry paper range.

So here the layout that I have created this week to share.
I have created a layout using another photo of my daughter just before her Graceful Girl performance. The floral papers from this paper range matched perfectly with the colours of her costume.
I have included a few home made digital cards in the muted grey colours to match in with the grey striped washi tape I have used as my border.

I found some metallic card stock in my stash that I really wanted to add some sparkle with to my layout. I used a wooden vine template from my stash to create the metallic vines. Must say I quite enjoyed getting some fussy cutting done this week. It was quite therapeutic.

I had a journal date spot from Mad About Scrappin, that matched perfecting with the blues in this paper range. I then had some matching glitter alphas that I have finished off the layout with to create a title. I love the feel of this layout. It looks very feminine and have a lot of dimension with the vines that I have created.

Once again quite a simple layout using a mix of the floral and plain paper from the MME - Wild Berry range to create this girl layout.

Hi all, I am back to share with you my Monday Mad About Scrappin Project share.  I am still working with this months kit, which included some fabulous canvas embellishments and the lovely Junque Gypsy papers from Marion Smith.

I have three cards to share with you all today.  Two of the card bases are 6x6" from Creativ, and for my Aussie readers these are available in some Kmart stores.  I loved using these bases as there was more room to scrap and they showcased some of the papers beautifully.  Some of these patterned paper are just too hard to cut up...My first card is one of them.

I have used the whole "Nota Bene" paper to create this card.

I have used a paper rose and metal butterfly from my stash, paper doily, wooden icon, wooden word from my kit and I fussy cut one of the tags.

I have also added a gypsy image from the papers to the inside of the wooden frame.

***********

My next large card uses the Dolce Vita page and some cuts from the reverse of this page.  I have again teamed it up with some of the pretty pink flowers from my kit and another of the paper doily's.

Last, but buy no means least, I have used one of the white card bases from kit and one of the heart shaped canvas tags.

I have mat the base with "Faux Pas" and embellished with more of the soft baby pink paper flowers, a snippet off a paper doily and one of the mulberry paper butterflies.

I have added a small wooden heart icon that I have added some pink micro beads to.

Well readers this is all I have for you today.  I hope I have inspired you to create and please go check out the Mad About Scrappin store to see all the newest arrivals for this month.  Please be sure to check out the links below to see what my other creative team mates have been up to...

Creative Inspiration - Week 25 2015

Good morning everyone.

Back this week to share with you a very quick layout using some more of the MME Wild Berry paper range I have been sent to play with  from Mad About Scrappin.

So here's the full layout I have created this week to share with you.
I have used some kraft card stock for the base of this layout as I wanted a completely different feel to this layout. More of a home crafty feel. I have then mixed it up with the patterns from this paper range and used a mix of patterns. I must say I love the look of them all on the kraft card stock.

To add a bit of dimension I have used a mix of chipboard numbers from my stash. I have coloured them all black to tie them all together and mixed up the sizes. They were then all adhered to help frame the bottom of the pattern paper at the bottom. I love mixing black and white with the bold colours of this paper range. I have also added lined paper bag to the layout as I find it adds that little extra without adding too much.  to tie the black of the numbers to the layout I have added the black Polaroid frame. Then added a little bit of sparkle with the fuchsia wire which I wasn't too sure about until the layout all finally came together. By keeping the photo black and white it has then completed the look I was trying to achieve. It also helped me to be able to pull off a pink based layout of my son without it looking too feminine.

I had some kraft coloured tags ion my stash from a previous Mad About Scrappin sale which I have used to create a bit of feature to the layout. I have then added a few matching stickers from my stash to add a bit of dimension and interest to finish off the layout.

Super easy and quite fun to play with.

Well off to get some things sorted for the next kit.

Till next time.

Summer Layout

Here is my Share for this week, l have created a lovely Summers page using the Jubilee MME Wild Berry paper range.

I really loved these papers and embellishments that l received this month to play with.
I had so much fun putting this all together. l created a few layouts with this months kit that Leanne sent me. One l shared with you all on my last post, this one and l still have one more to share with you all next week.

First up this week is a Summer layout l created using a photo l had of my daughter. She was strolling along the beach with her camera not knowing that l was snapping away as we do.
We are so lucky to live so close to the beach and to wake up to the sound of waves everyday.
It's such a Beautiful and pretty spot.

So l have used a piece of Kraft card stock for my layout as my background. Matted up with the MME Jubilee papers, Wild Berry Hey You Gardens Paper. Also l used a piece of Corrugated cardboard.
I distressed the edges of the Green MME paper, and the Corrugated Cardboard l have brushed white Gesso over the Cardboard, to give it a washed Beachy effect.

I matted my photo on top of a piece of Hessian, a Doiley, Stamped circles in the background, a Love Quote card, and a Black Polaroid Frame with a pink Resin Heart. I also added some Coloured wire and formed a circle, and bunched it all together, in the corner of my photo.
I added flowers, an arrow which l sprayed with sprays, Epoxy Dots, and also cut out some scraps of the MME papers to make some Banners.

Here is what it looks like.

In the bottom corner of my page l added some flowers, some Epoxy Dots, and the Gorgeous Bird on a Wire Washi Tape that also came in my kit.
I used the wooden Veneer  Amphersand, and a title as well for my page.

Here are some close ups.

Love the Colours!

Well thats it for this week from me.
Enjoy your week, and stay warm.

Happy Creating,
Tracey. x

A few cards

Hi all and welcome to my Monday Creative inspiration share for Mad About Scrappin.  Today I have a few cards created in a shabby chic style.  I have used the gorgeous papers Junque Gypsy from Marion Smith.  I love these papers and I am hoping to get just a few more projects from them.

I have used a lot of the supplies I received in this month's kit and only a few things from my stash... So without any further ado I will let the pictures do the talking....

I have used plain white card bases that were included in the kit to create each of the cards.
My first card "Life is Beautiful" I have created using the "Carpe Diem" print from the 6x6 paper pad and embellished with an ornate frame diecut, paper doily, wooden frame icon, lace, paper flowers and just a hint of bling from my stash
Here is a closer view of the embellishments...I have also used some soft baby pink twine and punched out some leaves from some of the offcuts which I have inked up with "Old Paper" Distress ink.

My second card "Friends are Forever" I have used the "Dolce Vita" Patterned paper and added it to a layer of pink and white cardstock.

I have used another of the Ornate Frame diecuts and added a pink insert, which I have inked the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and added paper roses and a mulberry paper butterfly. The quote is a rubon from my stash.

....and lastly is my final card. I have used the "Faux Pas" print.  I really love the shabbiness of this print, so I distressed the edges of the paper with my scissors and added one of the canvas tags that Leanne included in my kit....

along with some cream lace, vinyl doily and some tiny paper roses.  I have topped the doily with a handmade flower from my hoard.  I added a some baby pink pearl flower trim to the top of the card and embellised the canvas tag with a cut out from the paper collection and some soft shabby pink seam binding...

Well guys, it's another short and sweet post from me this week.  As always thanks for stopping by.  I sure do enjoy your company. Please be sure to check out the links below to see what my other creative team mates have been up to...
