Creative Inspiration - Week 33 2015

Back this week to share a layout that I have created whilst I still had my mojo flowing from all my scrapping for the show.

I was lucky enough to still have some of the Crate Paper - Open Book Paper range sent to me to play with by Leanne at Mad About Scrappin.

So here's this weeks layout.
Now I created the base of this layout using a piece of heavy weight paste board as I wanted to play around with a few napkins from my stash. I have then added a mix of paper doilies including some of the cute coloured ones that Leanne has at the Mad About Scrappin shop. Then finished off the base by added some washi tape in a light grey stripe to help frame the layout. I then added a title using a matching word sticker from my stash adhered with 3D foam.

I then had a bit of fun with another digital journal card I created using a variety of digital stamps and printed onto a graph journal card. ** see butterfly image hidden in the background.
I then used the floral rose paper from the  Crate Paper - Open Book Paper range and cut out some of the leaves and roses. I layered them all around before I adhered any of them and some were adhered using 3D foam tape to add some dimension.

I added some pink and white bakers twine to create a bit of interest on the layout.
Then finished the whole layout off by adding a bow of bakers twine to a cute filigree metal heart.

It has been a while since I have done much fussy cutting and think that my fingers are itching to get some more fussy cutting done.

Well.. hope that everyone has a super weekend.

Take care and Happy Scrappin.

Creative Inspiration - Week 32 2015

Hello everyone.

So ends another week and what a busy one here we have had.

I have been madly scrapping but I can't share with you yet what it is all for.

However I can share with you this week a layout created using some more of the Crate Paper - Open Book Paper range.

So here's the layout I have created this week.
I love the pink tones in the wood panel patterned paper in this range. I have used this as my starting point for the layout and then just added from there.

I have to admit I did have a cream piece of card stock originally as the base for the layout. However as I pre-cut then layout and came back to it a few days layer I really wasn't happy with the base. I do this some times and that is why I find it best not to adhere anything down until I am completely happy with the layout and positioning of it all.

To add to the change of card stock colour for my base I also added in a few extra stripes of matching patterned paper. I felt that the layout was missing that little bit extra. I also have added a pink doily that came from some packaging sent to me.

As the layout primarily had a dusty pink feel to it I decided to add a few pops of the aqua green that also features in the paper range. I have mixed my title up with some glitter alpha thickers and some mini alpha stickers on another of the cute coloured paper doilies from Mad About Scrappin.

I still have a lot of the sticker tickets in my stash that are really old. They have a mix of letters on them that just didn't suit what I have wanting to use them for so I have added a piece of the wood panel paper to the centre to tie them all into the layout.

In continuing with adding a little bit of the aqua to the layout I have added some of the arrow washi tape that Leanne sent to me to play with from Mad About Scrappin. I have then added some stitching using a permanent markers for a few highlights on the layout. Then finished the layout off with a cut matching flair and some matching aqua toned enamel spots from last months kit.

I quite like the different feel to this layout. I love the combination of the dusty pink and aqua.

Finally also working through more and more of the odds and ends of my stash too.

Well.. back to get creative.

Till next week.

Creative Inspiration - Week 30 2015

Good afternoon all.

No.. I hadn't forgotten to set this to go online this morning... Unfortunately the weather here is Adelaide has been miserable making taking photos a horror. I like to be bale to photograph my work outside in the natural light as I find I don't have to play around with the photos as much and it shows the true colours a lot better.

Anyways.. enough of reasons why I was a little late getting this online today.

I have a new paper range share with you today that I have been luck to have been sent by the lovely Leanne from Mad About Scrappin.

Here it is Crate Paper - Open Book range.

Now having my time a little slim this week with starting back at TAFE and major lots of meeting plus the added fact that my mojo seems to have taken a holiday without me due to exhaustion..lol..
I have kept it simple and created a pocket layout using some pocket pages that Leanne had popped in my parcel.
I have to say I quite enjoyed creating this pocket page. I was able to come back to it in stages and do what I felt like doing at the time. I think I kinda found my mojo am feel like scrapping again. Which I must say I am most excited about as I have quite a few things due in the next month.

I also got a chance to use up some of my mini paper paper bags from Mad About Scrappin whilst creating this too. I finds they are perfect for adding bits and pieces to pocket pages with ease. Perfect too for hiding little bits of journaling too. I love the floral paper in this range too. Whilst the flowers were quite large they were perfect for hand cutting. I have cut  a few out and layered them in a couple of the pockets using some 3D foam to add some dimension. I then scattered some mixed sequins to add a bit of sparkle.

I also had a bit of fun with some old rub ons from my stash to create a bit of interest in the pockets. I have used a mix of larger black and mixed lighter green rub on alphas first on the card for the pockets and then added some of the green alphas to the butterfly.

Because I didn't want to have photos in any of the pockets I decided to go with a quote. I have used a mix of mini alphas stickers, acrylic alphas and a chipboard word to create the quote.

I love being able to layer paper doilies. I was super excited when Leanne had the mini coloured doilies on sale at Mad About Scrappin. I bought a pack in every colour and must say that I MUST get more. They are just so cute and the colours they come in are just stunning!!!

Well... whilst my mojo is here I had better get scrappin.

Till next share.

Have a super weekend.
