Hello readers, welcome to my Monday Creative Inspiration post..  Today I have a layout to share with you using a kit from Mad About Scrappin.  I have used a selection of papers from the kit you see below.

and this is what I came up with.....

I have taken one of the doilies from my kit and sprayed it with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Ramblin Rose....Hopefully you can see some of shimmer in the photo's below.

I have added some soft baby pink cherry blossoms and an acrylic heart to embellish the little journalling spot.  The title is a diecut from a previous kit.

I also created some hidden journalling by using the glassine bag that was part of the embellishments and I have tucked a hand cut tag inside.

I have used a scrap strip left over from a previous layout and added a Kaisercraft phrase.  I then
tucked both of these under one of the button badges that were also in the embellishments.  I really love using these little badges.

Well guys, I think I have covered everything. That was a pretty quick post huh?  This was such a great layout and the papers have a happy feel to them.  I also love how the black accents just make there rest of the colours pop!!.  Thanks for stopping by and as always please stop by the links below to see what my fellow creative team has to share.  Also be sure to check out what kits are available this month in the store....

Kimi's July Sketch Challenge Layout.

Today I have my July Sketch Challenge layout to share.  Have you entered yet? No?  The details  are here ---> July Sketch Challenge

Here is my take on Crece's great sketch.  For my layout I have used the Gentle Breeze paper pad and embellishments from Rosie's Studio - a  company that is available to Australian and New Zealand scrappers.   To create the doily you can see in the background I used my Silhouette Cameo and one of the cut files available in the Silhouette Studio

My flowers are paper mulberry flowers from my stash and some small pastel Forget Me Knots from Mad About Scrappin's online store

Would love it if you jumped on board this month and give this a go!! Cannot wait to see what you create!!

Thanks for stopping by.....

.....till next time

A Couple of Cards

Hey there everyone, I hope all my Aussie readers are enjoying the Australia Day long weekend.   I am back again today to share a couple of cards I created for Mad About Scrappin.  You may remember the sketch I used a few posts back for the January Sketch Challenge....
It was this one....
Well I thought that I could use it as a map or sketch for some cards.  I went really well with the first card...stuck to the layout as much as possible.  I only flipped it 90 degrees or so!!

But....... I totally lost the plot when I got to my second card :)  It seemed to have a mind all of it's own!!

I have used some scraps leftover from my Mad About Scrappin November design team kit.  These papers are from My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing collection. In the first card  I have used some chipboard flowers, white lace and ribbon. For the second card I have used one of my Tattered Crocheted blooms and a pink doily.
I would just like to remind you all to head  over to the Mad About Scrappin Blog on the 1st of February as we launch the new Blog Challenges.

There are some gorgeous prize packs being offered for the New Blog Sketch Challenge and I wanted to share them with you all!!  There will be 2 prizes. One will be voted on by the Creative Team and there will be one random draw winner.  So please be sure to hop on over and check them out!!  Remember readers you've got to be in it to win it!!
