"Love" - Layout

G'day everyone, I am back again today to share with you another layout.  This is the last of the papers from My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing and also a few bits n pieces from Pink Paislee's Cottage Farm.

The base page or background is from The Sweetest Thing - Tangerine "Wonderful".  I have added a strip of cream hessain/burlap and then layered up lots of leftovers and some fussy cut embellishments.  The doily that i have tucked in behind the hessian is one from Kaisercraft, but it went so perfectly with these papers, as did the butterfly.

I have added some glossy accents to the centre of "Such a Happy Day" and also to the word strip that I have layered across the heart.

The cute little banner is made from some Cottage Farm offcuts I had left over from last weeks layout...they seemed to blend in ok and I have just used some loose threads from my hessian strip as the string bows.

I have used one of the wood veneer laser cut  words for my title and some flowers leftover from previous kits.

I added a Kaisercraft collectable journal tag to the bottom corner...

Super quick layout guys!! But loads of fun and that's it....no more leftovers!!  I have finally come to the end used up all the papers from previous kits.....

.....oh wait....what's this.....sorry guys I best re-phrase that I have "nearly" used up all the papers.  I just found some Madame Payraud.....mmmmm and there looks like there is enough for a mini....a file folder mini!! Keep an eye for that post!!  As always thanks for stopping by.  I sure do enjoy your company. Please be sure to check out the links below to see what my other creative team mates have been up to...

"Live" - Layout

Hi all, I am back and I have my Monday Mad About Scrappin project to share with you all and today it is a layout.  I have been going through all of this years Creative Team kits and using up all my leftovers.  To create this layout I have delved into the papers (and scraps) from My Minds Eye The Sweetest Thing collection.

I have cut some hexagons from some of the off cuts I had and then using a black pen outlined the edges.

The gorgeous paper flowers are a mix from the Mad About Scrappin Store.  Here are some close ups...

So guys, that's it for me, yet another quick post this week.  I  hope  I have inspired you all to dive into your stash and create!!  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all the Mad About Scrappin links below.

Monday Project Share - Layout

Hi al, I am back again!!  This time I have  a layout to share with you all for my Monday Mad About Scrappin project.  Again I have used leftovers from My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing.  I have just about exhausted this range.  There is enough for just one more layout....and if I am lucky I maybe able to stretch it to two!!  I love these papers and have really enjoyed creating with them.

The pics I have used are a couple of selfies hubby and I took on our South Coast getaway. I just love this background ledger paper and found it hard to actually use. BUT!! It was the perfect back drop for this layout.

I am always at a loss as to what to say about my layouts.  I always find it hard to know where to start!!  So I guess I begin with background.

I sprayed the background with some Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Tiffany blue....I love this colour and it added just the right tone to the background.  I also used some of Lindys Marigold Yellow Orange.  I splattered both onto my page and then added some little drops of glossy accents to some of the splatters.

I have used some co-ordinating washi tape from my stash to stick down a piece of paper doily and I adhered some wood veneers to create a title.
I really do love the corner cluster technique - as you may have noticed!! and I tend to use it on just about all my layouts.  Here I have used a selection of paper roses that I layered up on some more of that paper doily and an ornate frame that I have cut up and placed at both ends.

I have also added a sprinkling of little enamel dots and a couple of rubons from my stash.

I do hope you have enjoyed my layout and I have inspired you all to dive into your stash and create!!  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all the Mad About Scrappin links below.

Serenity Layout

Guess what?? It's Monday again....OMGOSH guys these Mondays seem to be rolling around quicker and quicker don't they?  It's time again for my Mad About Scrappin Monday project share and today I have a layout using some leftovers from various kits I have recevied throughout the year and My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing papers.  I have to admit to hoarding the papers....just a little bit ;)  They are so great that I found it hard to cut them up or even ink them up, but I thought it was time to bust them out and get creative with them.

I snapped this pic of some pelicans on my recent getaway to the South Coast of New South Wales....and every time I look at it I think of the well known line "How's the Serenity"  ...from the Aussie movie "The Castle" .

so I just had to use it as a title on this layout.

Well readers there's not much to tell,  I have used a random bunch of embellishments from some of my previous kits as well as some from my stash.  I have added some background stamping and I lightly spritzed the layout with some Tattered Angels - Twilight glimmer mist.

Well guys that is yet another quick post it from me for this week.  I do hope you have enjoyed my  layout and I have inspired you to create a layout or two.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all the Mad About Scrappin links below.

A Couple of Cards

Hey there everyone, I hope all my Aussie readers are enjoying the Australia Day long weekend.   I am back again today to share a couple of cards I created for Mad About Scrappin.  You may remember the sketch I used a few posts back for the January Sketch Challenge....
It was this one....
Well I thought that I could use it as a map or sketch for some cards.  I went really well with the first card...stuck to the layout as much as possible.  I only flipped it 90 degrees or so!!

But....... I totally lost the plot when I got to my second card :)  It seemed to have a mind all of it's own!!

I have used some scraps leftover from my Mad About Scrappin November design team kit.  These papers are from My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing collection. In the first card  I have used some chipboard flowers, white lace and ribbon. For the second card I have used one of my Tattered Crocheted blooms and a pink doily.
I would just like to remind you all to head  over to the Mad About Scrappin Blog on the 1st of February as we launch the new Blog Challenges.

There are some gorgeous prize packs being offered for the New Blog Sketch Challenge and I wanted to share them with you all!!  There will be 2 prizes. One will be voted on by the Creative Team and there will be one random draw winner.  So please be sure to hop on over and check them out!!  Remember readers you've got to be in it to win it!!
