Botanical Tea Card and gift bag

Hi all and welcome to this weeks Creative inspiration project.  I am still revisiting a previous kit Leanne had sent.  I was pleasantly surprised at just how much of this kit I still had, even after using it to create with last week.  So I thought that whilst I had it out of the hoard vault I would create a gift bag and matching card for my friend as well.

The bag was a plain white one that I had managed to pick up in a cheap craft supply store recently, and the card base is from a previous kit.

Well readers even after 3 cups of coffee to try to kick start the old grey matter, I really haven't got a great deal to say, these gorgeous glamour shots really do a lot of the talking for me.

I have used up a lot of supplies from my previous kits, and few pieces of bling from my stash.

Well readers, that is is it from me this week.  Thanks for stopping by and as always please click the links below to see what my fellow creative team has to share.  Also be sure to check out what kits are available this month in the store....

Revisiting an old kit

Hey there everyone, thanks for joining me.  This week I thought I would revisit a previous kit from Leanne and upcycle a few leftovers I had stashed away for that rainy day.  I have pulled out and dusted off that gorgeous paper collection Botanical Tea from Graphic 45 and I was actually nicely surprised at just how much I had left.

I had been looking at this paper mache lid for quite sometime, waiting for inspiration to strike. Which it did, on Thursday!!

I was in dire need of a little gift for a friend.  Lucky for me this friend just looooves everything shabby chic.  So I took this plain paper mache lid and created this cute and very shabby chic little wall hanging plaque.

Sorry guys there aren't a lot process pics to share and really not much to tell either.  I first gave the lid a couple of coats of gesso and then proceeded to layer up the inside with papers, a small frame which has this gorgeous vintage lady photo inside.

I then added a layer of lace, flower pearl trim and adorned the bottom half with these lovely flowers and chipboard word.

Once the front was all done, I added some white seam binding for the hanger and a covered the back with the back of the paper pad.  So it is a little thicker and glossy too.  I thought, with it being that little bit stronger it would help keep the seam binding in place more or better :)

As usual guys here are all the glamour pics....

I hope you have enjoyed  revisiting this paper pad with me this week's project.  As always guys....please check out the links below to see what other happenings have been going on over at Mad About Scrappin.

Time to Celebrate Gift Giving Set

Hello readers and welcome to my Mad About Scrappin Monday project share.  Today I have altered a paperbag and a paper mache box into two gorgeous gift giving ideas....or gift presentation.

I have used the remainder of the Graphic 45 paper pad - Time to Celebrate and even managed to use up those little leftover strips from creating the Photo Folio Album.  Well readers even after 3 cups of coffee to try to kick start the old grey matter I am still at a loss as to what to say.....so here are some pics to help me out....
Sooooo first up is the little paper bag.  For my Aussie and NZ readers, this paperbag is just one of those that can be found in the scrapbooking section at Kmart.
I have used a scalloped pair of scissors to create the flap and tucked it in behind the little diecut oval tab.  I have used a word cutout from the paper pad and some mini paper roses to decorate it.
I have also added a tag and a charm to the side.
 I even covered the back.

Next is my little box.  This is really quite small.  Only 3"x3" or 7cmx7cm.  Again I have used a lot of the leftover strips from the Photo Folio to cover this box.

I have decorated the lid with more paper roses from previous creative team kits, a word cutout which I have matted on to a scrap of brown cardstock and I have fussy cut one of the butterflies and added some glossy accents to it

I hope you have enjoyed this week's project.  As always guys....please check out the links below to see what other happenings have been going on over at Mad About Scrappin.

Photo Folio/Mini Album

Hello Everyone, well it is Monday down here in my neck of the woods and it is time for to share my Mad About Scrappin Monday project.  Today I have a little photo folio that I have created using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Time to Celebrate paper pad.

I have been watching a few youtube vids on these of late and decided to give one a try.  I have made mine smaller than most, but it is great for those instagram pics.  I won't go into too much detail on how to construct this as there are soooo many tutorials over on youtube.

I have created the cover from some extra thick poster board that I have covered with some Dark brown Card stock and then matted with the papers.
I have used a paper punch to create a lacey border with I topped with some vintage cotton lace.  I have added some bling and flowers from my stash.  I created the closure with some crinkled seam binding that I dyed using Tim Holtz Tattered Rose ink.

On the inside I have created a pocket which holds three tags for journalling or they could be places to mat some photos. On the right handside I have created a double sided waterfall that will hold up to 8 photos.

Here are some close ups and more glamorous pics for you......

I also have a little pocket with a tag for journalling.....

Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed this week's project.  As always guys....please check out the links below to see what other happenings have been going on over at Mad About Scrappin.
