March Sketch- Photo with Dad

Hi, I am here to show you today my take on the March Sketch. I tell you what I am LOVING the sketches!!! So easy to create with and make it to your style.

This is my daughter and her Dad on her first day at Kindy (3yrs ago, where is the time going???) First days of school is one of the few photos we get with the kids.

I have create my own background using mist and stencils and the layered the paper like the sketch. I have used Frames and Flowers for the embellishments.

With a punch, i punched a bit here and there from the border and then added some more embellishments on the right hand side.

Instead of having a title with the same alpha stickers, i wrote some for something different. Here is the March Sketch:

2 very different layouts using Heidi Swapp Paper

Hi I am here to show you that with 1 range of papers you can create a very mix media layout and a not so mix media layout. I did this using the awesome Heidi Swapp range that is HERE and, of course, loads of MAS products.
First up the not so mix layout. I say it this way as I did create the background using texture paste, mask and mist but compared to the other one is not really mix media.

I got the White Cardstock and created the background as I said above so I ended up with a green background.

After cutting the paper into 4 inch squares and gluing to the card I drewed around it all using a Black Pen. Then I added these awesome Flowers

The words 'Love and Together' was added last. A quick page but man do I love the bright colours!!!

Onto my very mixed media page. For the background I kept one Heidi Swapp paper as my background and cut the 2nd sheet up in strips and glued them on the page, leaving space in between to see the background on. I then added gesso over some of the cut lines.

After that was dried I added these stunning Frames after I painted them with a slight colour. Then I added bits of Lace.

I cut up and added a different kind of Frame under my photo and then used lots of the new Flowers that has come in.

Mini Album Part 2

Hi I am back today to show you part 2 of my mini album. To see part 1 head HERE

Like before all papers are from the Kaisercraft 'The looking glass' (head HERE for it in the shop)

 

I used alphas from Kasiercraft and Glitz.

Now I can only show one page here as I run out of doilies (very annoying) Lucky for me I happen to know a shop that is getting more in ;)

Last 2 and my fav's, pictures of our girl with each parent. Like the cute glitter corner?? Head HERE to see the whole range.

Bar the paper range I have used flowers on each page. MAS has an AWESOME range. To check it out head HERE.

Last but not least the title page. I kept it simple and used a lot of stickers from the sticker Kasiercraft range.
I had loads of fum doing this page and Iona helped me out by picking the photos she wanted and some of the flowers. A great way to do something with your kids and keeping memories alive.

Mini Album Part 1

Hi Belinda here today to show you pt 1 of my mini album. And its all about my middle daughter. The photos are highlights of her life but also are ones that I had not scrapped before. So there is no birthday photos as I have already scrapped them (loads of times lol ). I also have used photos that might not be a great photo but still hold special memories. The whole album I have used Kaisercraft 'The Looking Glass' collection. Check it out here, it was an awesome range to work with.

First up is the first photo of my 2 girls and me when Iona was 2 days old. I have journaled around the edge of the paper and used heaps of MAS flowers

2nd page and its Iona's first time in the cot. More MAS flowers (head HERE for their awesome range)

Next 2 pages is about Iona's 1st Christmas. Along with the paper I have used hessian behind each photo. I have also stamped on the Kaisercraft paper with a stamp that has the word' believe' on it

Again loads of MAS flowers and journalling around the edges.

The last 2 I am showing you today is 2 different events but happened within a few weeks of each other. This one was the day my girl went from a cot to her big bed. I have used loads of Washi Tape and flowers from MAS and the banners are from the 'Looking Glass' sticker sheet.

This one is about the day my oldest girl but pegs in their hair. MAS has a fab range of Washi Tape and you can see it HERE. Well thats it from me today. Echo Park's Paper and Glue range

Hello, Belinda here today to show you 2 layouts using the very awesome Paper and Glue range from Echo Park. And before you run away thinking that you can ONLY do school layouts I have one that is a school layout and one that is not. First up the school layout:

Looking back I wish that I had gone with my idea of paint drips on the background paper. But I still love it (the artist in me is never happy lol) I did doodled around the edge of the red and yellow paper, added extra details, who Sophie's teacher was, fav subject, best friends and so on.

I have used heaps of the stickers from this range and layered them under the photo. I used all stickers that went well with what my daughter did/use in Pre Primary. The flowers are all from MAS. With the big yellow one it was white but I sprayed it yellow.

I just had to use the worm, he is soooo cute!!! And that sequin lace was a must on this layout (to see all the different colours head HERE)

The title I used the alphas from the range. I also used Memory Maze chipboard, left over from my last layout post, talk about awesome value!!!! I have used some on my next layout and I still have loads left. ( Head HERE for the awesome range) Ok now for the non school layout:

I choose a very non school photo to show that this range you can use any photo. And with 3 girls you can use it on girl layouts.

Again I doodled around the edges with extra information.

I have used a stamp from my stash for under this cluster and the photo. With my die cutting machine and die I made this Rosette from on of the papers in this range. I added sticker strips that was left over from the ones I used under the photo.

The title is a sticker from the range. The flowers are all from here. The green was white but I sprayed it green.

And here is the Memory Maze chipboard. I have loads left over so watch this space for cards and maybe more layouts. I have loved working with this range (but I do love all Echo Park). There is not much left but you can still get the complete range HERE Thanks for looking Belinda Pin It Now!

Altered Chess Set Box

Today I'd like to share with you an altered Chess Set box I made for a lovely friend of mine. I found this box at an Op-shop recently and just loved the size of it and the patina of the wood. 

Using the gorgeous Kaisercraft 'On This Day' papers, I only covered parts of the box leaving some of the wood showing through. Some beautiful wedding applique pieces were also added for luxury. Some bronze filigree pieces were cut lengthways and glued (E6000) to the front corners of the box.

Approximately 95% of the plethora of flowers decorating the top of this box are from the Mad About Scrappin store along with the Green Tara leaves, gorgeous triple seam binding bow in the corner and the tiny pearl bead trim that borders both the top and bottom of the box. A small wooden photo frame was painted white and decorated with a little bling, two metal keys poke out from a cluster of flowers to hang some lovely pearl dangles from. Everything was adhered using Helmars 450 Quick Dry Glue and Helmars Super Tak Glue.

Inside the box I wanted to show off the beautiful full length piano hinge so only the compartments were covered using Kaisercraft 'On This Day' papers. There were two dividers in the box which I painted with Gesso and then covered with a pretty white lace. The larger sections were then edged with a lovely bobble trim, picked up from a Flog It Friday Sale and the smaller sections edged with some light blue pearl bead trim.

Some tiny metal feet were added (salvaged from another op-shop box find) and lace hinges inside to stabilise the lid. I'm very happy with how this old box regained it's life in a prettier form.

Hi, I am back to show you what I came up using the fab Pink Paislee Cottage Farm range. I just loved playing with these beautiful papers. With 3 girls I had plenty of photos to choose from. First up is a layout I did of my middle daughter all dressed up to go and met Santa at a Christmas Party

For some reason I thought it would be 'grand' to hand stitch around each of the paper strips. Loved the effect but it did take a bit of time. Methinks I need to learn to use the sewing marchine better 

This flower bunch from Manor Collection is just devine!!! All I added was a bit of pearl trim and a resin butterfly (all from MAS store) You can also see some twine. Its from a tag that is hidden that has the extra details about the photo. The doily is also from the shop. The words that you can see say's 'you just look so'

I have used Seam Binding for the bow. After I glued the bit across the photo I tied the bow and then glued it on top. Then I added the Pearl Trim. The flowers above the title are all from MAS

The next layout is of me and my 2 girls. I have layed lots of paper:

I just LOVE the flower range that MAS has. Plus who does not love a bit of bling???

And a quick look at the title. For some reason it does not look straight but it is. I have used a stencil from my stash and ink to get the look under the title:

Such a difference in colours from the 2 layouts but all came from the same range!!!
