Creative Inspiration - Week 39 2015

Back again for another week of sharing what I have been up to on the scrapping front.

With the start of the school holidays upon us here in Adelaide I ma hoping to be able to get some scrapping time... fingers crossed.

Well.. anyways.. this week I am once again back to share with you what I have created using some more of the Carte Bella - Moments and Memories paper range.

So here's the layout I have created to share this week.....
This time around I have teamed the paper range up with some book pages from my stash. I have also  used a piece of black card stock as my base for a bit of a contrast and to make the papers pop out from the background. I also added in a graph journal card from my stash to base. The paper range worked perfectly with the colours of this photo I had of my youngest daughter.

I love the look of the florals in this paper range. I also love how well all the papers in the range coordinate. I decided to use all the papers from the range by using strips to mix it up a little. I have layered them and border punched on to add a bit of feature to the strips.

To give this layout a softer touch I have used some white and pale teal flowers teamed with a journal spot from the paper range. I then added an acetate heart and some kraft stickers to create the title for the layout. This gave the layout a little softer touch, as the black card stock is quite bold as a base for this. I love the look of  book pages on a layout too.

I love the feel of this paper range too as it is slightly textured. I have still a little bit more of this range left to play with too.

Well... hope like me you get a chance to get creative.

Till next week.

Creative Inspiration - Week 38 2015

Good morning everyone.

Hope that this week finds everyone well.

I have been busily scrapping my little fingers off. I seem to have my mojo back and am glad to be able to have a play around with some more of this super yummy Carte Bella paper range that Leanne sent me to play with.

This week I have create a layout to share with you all and here it is...
I have played with the floral papers from the range this week and teamed it up with cream and black. I love adding that little bit of black and cream, or white, to a layout as it adds a little bit of a bold feature to the layout. I even cut the base layout done and then mounted the whole layout onto black card stock.

I cut out some circles from black chipboard to add a bit of feature to the layout and then hand stitched with some matching floss to the chipboard circles. I also found a "&" symbol in my stash and decided to use that for my title. I have covered it in some of the matching paper from the range.

There are some of these cute little journal spots in the paper range. I have managed to use one of there to add a date to my layout to finish it all off.  I also added some hand stitching to the layout to add a few feature here and there.

I had a blast creating this layout and cannot wait to play around with a bit more bits and pieces that have been sent to me this month.

Hope that you all get a chance to scrap and play this weekend like I hope to.

Till next week.

Springtime Layout.

Well l am back again this week for another share with you all. l am a week late with my post, as l have been busy the last week. I had my daughters birthday last week and had 7 young 11 year olds stay for a sleepover.
Which of course they saw all my Crafty stuff and were blown away. So we did some Watercoloring with Twinklings H20's, which they thought was divine.
Anyway l hope everyone is well, and have been enjoying some of this beautiful weather we are having at the moment.

So this week l have to share a layout l created of my daughter, using my left over papers l had in my kit of the Open Book Range. I used up most of what came in my kit with some of my personal stash as well. Hope you like it.

Here are some close ups of the Clusters.

I Painted white Gesso over my flowers then added Kindy Glitz.

Until next time Happy Creating and have a Wonderful Week,
Thanks for Stopping by.

Creative Inspiration - Week 37 2015

Hello everyone.

Glad to back on track here and finally getting on top of things... well sorta anyways..lol

Anyway.. I have had a chance to play with some more of the super yummy Carte Bella - Moments and Memories paper range this week.

I have managed to create a layout this week featuring my soccer mad son.
Now I have stuck with the black and white from this paper range to create this layout as I wanted to have the bright vivid colours of the photo show through for a change. I wasn't too keen on the plain cream card stock base as I felt that something was missing so decided to ink it up a little with a spritz of black ink. I must admit that the end result wasnt quite planned the way it happened but more due to a blocked nozzle. However I am happy with the end result and glad that I just went with it. I then framed the layout with some newsprint washi that was sent to me to play with by Mad About Scrappin too.

Now.. I decided to use some ribbed black card stock for the base then added black and white pattern to lift it off the page a little. The it was just a case of layering a cute lined journal card and a round journal spot from my stash to add a bit of detail. The round film images are actually clip art images I found on the Internet that I have printed and cut out.

I also added a cute white heart print journal spot that I had from a Mad About Scrappin sale from ages ago.. love them heaps and they are prefect for adding a little extra. I created a bit of dimension by adding in some chipboard arrows from my slowly dwindling stash of unused chipboard. Then I finished of the layout by using the memory definition flair to for detail. I didn't want to add a title as the photo had words on it that said it all. The flair finished it off nicely to record the moment.

Well... its was so much fun to create this layout. I did, however, make just a tad of a mess (due to the blocked sprayer nozzle) but its all part of the creative process.

Better get back to it.

Can't wait to share next week some more of this yummy paper range.

Till then.

Creative Inspiration - Week 36 2015

Good morning all....

I am excited this week with the start of a new month to be able to share with you a new paper range that was sent to me to play with for this month.

How nice is the Carte Bella - Moments and Memories paper range

Now... with everything here being super crazy and with having Miss K in hospital this week too,
I started this week off with getting organised and pre-cut all the work I wanted to share with you all this month. Now.. I didn't get a chance to get the work started due to being in the hospital.

However I wanted to show you what I managed to pull off today using up the scraps.. yes the scraps of what was left from all the pre-cut work for this month,
As you can see I really didn't have much left from this months kit... however I knew that I would be able to scrape something together with a few odds and ends from my stash.

So I managed to squeeze of a couple of cards for Fathers Day.
Now.. I always struggle creating masculine cards. Its not the base of the card I struggle with.. it's the whole not know how to embellish the card. So creating these card firstly from scraps was a challenge and then having to make them masculine for me was a challenge too.

So here's the first card I created...
Now both the cards were created on recycled card as a base. I then added some black card stock and a book page as the starting point for this base of this card. Then it was just a case of playing around with the scraps of Carte Bella - Moments and Memories paper till I was happy with the layout. I stuck with the black and red colours from this paper range to keep a more masculine feel. Then I added in some old rub on alphas to add a bit of dimension. I then embellished the card using some garden twine to create a bow and then added in a "fun" definition flair.

For the last card I have used the bulk of the scraps to create the base which I then matted on some black card stock before adhering it to the card base. I have also used some washi tape on the red patterned paper to change up the look and tone down the brightness. to embellish this card I have used one of my super cute mini black paper doilies from Mad About Scrappin and then wrapped with some bakers twine. One of the papers from the range had a quote about family. However I have used part of the quote to create the greeting for this card. Then added some black dew drops scattered to finish it all off.

I quite enjoyed creating both cards and have to admit I still have a few scraps left to make another card... nothing wrong with being frugal.

Well better get stuck into this months work...

I cannot wait to share.

Till then.
