Kimi's April Sketch Challenge Layout

Hello everyone....Kimi here, to share with you all my take on Amy's awesome sketch for this month.

For this layout I dusted the cobwebs off some reeeeaaalllly old paper pads I have in my stash.  I grabbed some random papers from two different collections that went together quite well.  The base page is from the "Endless Summer"stack by DCWV and the centre strips are from an old (very old) Prima Stack - The Breathe Paper Collection - By Corina Neilson.
I have used a lot of embellishments from the store.  The cute little teal bird can be found in the Resin tab.
I have used some of the new Pastel Curly Roses in the 3.75cm size and also the 2.5cm.  I have also used some small pastel Forget me Nots.  The flowers and doilies are all new to the store and can be found under the Paper flowers and Embellishments!!
I finished off the layout with some lace and die-cut embellishments I had in my stash.

This month there are 2 prizes up for grabs.  One decided by the Creative team and the other is a random draw.  So be sure to get your layout linked to be in the running.  We love to see your take on the sketch.

Fun In The Sun

Hi Belinda here today to show you my take on the January Sketch by Anne Patterson. Since its the middle of summer I could not but do a layout about the beach.

I did change a few things from the sketch but that's the best thing about sketches, they are a starting point. I also added lots of journaling around the edges of the paper.

I used the awesome Teresa Collins 'Memories' range. The title is stamped as some shells (trying to get more out of stamps, I will have a post on cards that I used stamps on coming up). I also used shells that was picked up from the beach that day.

This was not part of the sketch wanted to show some more beachy things.

And here is the sketch. I just love how this can be interpreted in sooo many different ways.
As of next month the sketches go back to being a challenge for everyone to enter. There will be a linky thing on this blog to link up the challenges. There will be 2 awesome prizes up for grabs, gotta love that!!!
Thanks for looking
Belinda :)

Kimi Challenge Layout

Hey readers I am back today to share with you all  the January Sketch challenge.

This is my take....I managed to actually stick to the sketch this time round....well almost I only shifted one element!!

I have used My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing - Honey/Perfect papers.  I actually received these papers in my first design team kit and have been dying to use them.  I was just waiting for the right project to come along.    From a second sheet I have fussy cut the lovely big red cabbage roses and layered them underneath my photo...I have also used the strip from along the bottom of the papers to create a banner along with a couple of those gorgeous lillies you can find here.  My mats are cut from the reverse of Honey Perfect and the revers of Honey/One of a Kind.  I have added a bottle cap with a one inch punch out from the paper scraps.

I hope you enjoy my take on the sketch.  Be sure to come back and see what the rest of the talented  team create with this sketch.
Thanks for stopping by.....
Till next time remember to .....

November Sketch Challenge

Photobucket

Hi, I am here today to show you my take on Anne Patterson Sketch. I have to say I LOVED doing this sketch and has to be one of my fav layouts that I have done this yr. Since it was an Anne Patterson sketch I was going to do stitching, but in the end decided against it and went with doodling.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take:

The sketch just screamed to me to use a photo of each of my girls. I have used one of the new Kaisercraft stamps (they are sold out ) and stamped in the area of where the paper squares were going. I also lightly misted.

The paper range I used is Fancy Pants 'Collecting Moments' (Head here to find in store) The butterflies are from the range, I used a die and my die machine to cut them out.

The squares are 4x4. After distressing the edges I used black pen and doodled around each one.

The title is from Jilibean Soup (Head here to find them).

Thanks it for me today,

Thanks for looking
